*Don’t miss my recent post for all the tips and tricks I wish I had known earlier for looking cute, polished, and “put-together” as a stay at home Mama!

Elevated Basic Tops

This multi-pack has three different chic neutrals and different necklines. Great for layering!

This pop over top is the epitome of an elevated basic! It’s an interesting, fun piece that can go full athleisure or more sophisticated depending on how you style it! The lighter color is also a great one to transition to Spring in a few months!

Cardigans like this one are a must-have. Warm & cozy, and very versatile!

Cozy Cardigan

This cardi is available in two different colors and it’s super versatile! Pair with jeans or even leggings for everyday wear and with a nice dress for date night! Bonus: you can wear throughout the year when heading to cooler theaters or restaurants!

Kind of obsessed with this gorgeous longline cardigan! Another great layering piece, and it’s thick enough to wear as a coat, depending on how mild Winter weather is where you live.

See what I mean? It’s super cute with jeans, or with a great dress!

Warm Sweater

This beautiful oatmeal colored turtleneck sweater (use my link to save 15% on your order!) is another super versatile piece that you can wear with a skirt for church or over leggings at home. It’s cozy, warm, and slightly oversized!

This plus-size pick has a built-in button down for a chic, layered look.

Something For Special Occasions

This dress is super cute for Valentine’s Day, but I feel like you can get away with it as a transitional piece as well. Pink doesn’t have to ONLY be for the holiday(;

Don’t forget these fleece-lined tights for extra warmth!

If dresses aren’t your thing, this soft, figure-flattering jumpsuit is a great option!

Great Jeans

I don’t usually wear jeans if I know I’m going to be in the house all day. But they are an absolute staple for running errands, going to events, anything that requires me to actually leave the house. Finding a great pair takes some trial and error, but it’s so worth it once you find a pair that fits.

Here are my best tips for jeans shopping.

  • TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS: Make sure to take waist & hip measurements so you have something to compare to the chart online. It’s a pain, but so helpful in the long run!
  • KNOW YOUR RISE: If you can, head to the store to try on a few different rise levels and figure out what suits you best. I can typically go with a mid-rise or normal high-rise. I never do the popular “super high waist” styles because they tend to sit right under my boobs, since I’m only 5’4. Not very flattering!
  • WHAT’S THE FABRIC CONTENT: Check out the Elastane or Spandex content (both materials will add stretch). Do you like a tighter, more uniform fit? Go with low to no spandex.
  • CHECK OUT THE MODELOld Navy & Madewell have really stepped it up lately in this department. You can select the size that matches yours and their sites will show you what the jeans look like on that body type. Super helpful when you can’t try it on yourself.
  • READ THOSE REVIEWS: Nowadays, most stores will let you attach a pic to your review which is incredibly helpful and can give you a better idea of how a pair of jeans will match up to your body type.

Leggings or Leggings Alternatives

There are several different versions of these leggings, but these are my favorite. They’re super comfortable, don’t ride down, and they’re as great during workout sessions as they are for regular, everyday wear.

Okay, hear me out! You can wear absolutely wear these wide-leg trousers in place of leggings. They are incredibly soft, and an easy way to elevate your outfit and still look polished and put-together.
