I always assumed leather leggings, faux or otherwise, would highlight all the wrong things. But, I’m happy to tell you that I was so wrong! Whether you’re a size 2, a size 12, or a size 22, you can totally wrong faux, Vegan, or genuine leather leggings.

What Shirt Can You Wear With Leather Leggings?

The cool thing about leather leggings is how versatile they are. You can dress them up with a sparkly sequin top for NYE, or down with a sweatshirt, blazer, and cool sneakers to run errands. It really depends on your vibe.

Personally, I prefer a bit of a longer top just to make sure everything’s covered. Or, if I do a shorter top, I might add a longer jacket or cardigan for extra coverage.

But I’ve seen really cute outfits with cropped tops too, so it really just depends on you and where you’re headed.

Are Leather Leggings Still In Style In 2024?

They most certainly are! Full disclosure: I grabbed the leather leggings you see pictured back in 2020! First of all, shout out to Zenana, because these babies are still in perfect condition even after me wearing them year after year.

Anyway, yes, you can still wear leather leggings in 2023 and probably in 2024 as well! Just because you’ve had something for a few seasons doesn’t mean it automatically goes in the “out of style” pile.

At this point, I think of leather leggings as an elevated basic. And as you know, elevated basics are still very on trend for 2023 and 2024!

When you’re styling a piece of clothing you’ve had for a minute, think of ways to update. For example, back in 2020, we were still wearing leather leggings with oversized tunics and chunky cardigans. Don’t get me wrong, still cute.

But…

Okay, I love a good holiday sweater, tunic, whatever! I snagged this adorable long-sleeved graphic tee on pre-order from Good & Well Boutique. It’s warm, but also lightweight, and it’s the perfect way to dress down a great pair of faux leather leggings. She’s all sold out, so I’m sharing a few of my favorite alternatives below.

Sparkly Sequins!

Another top from a previous pregnancy (hey, if I like it, I keep it in rotation!) Nothing says “ready to party” like this fun, sparkly top! Add your favorite pair of heels (or OTK boots) and you’re all set. Perfect for a night out or just a really festive night in!

“Momiform”

This is such an easy outfit to throw on to run errands, go to a PTA meeting, or grab your babies from school. Add a solid color overcoat and the leather leggings for instant chic!

The leggings keep this cozy, feminine sweater from being *too* soft and sweet, and those boots are just perfection! Lately, I’ve been playing around with mixing complimentary colors and I feel like a good neutral boot keeps everything from looking too “matchy-matchy”.

Back To Basics

This denim top is sooo versatile! I find a reason to wear it every season, and this Winter is no different. It’s super comfy (aaand breastfeeding friendly) and pairs well with my fave pair of brogues for a casual, yet fun look.

A Great Pattern

This adorable v-neck sweater is kind of leopard, but not really? Kind of artsy? Not sure how to describe it, to be honest! I do know it’s comfy.

The v-neck is super flattering, especially for gals with larger busts, and I love the little pops of pink throughout. It compliments by Bordeaux leggings quite nicely!

A Conversational Piece

Okay, am I the only one that starts a good story with “Chiiiiild”? When I tell you this fun sweatshirt spoke to me on such a personal level!

Outfit update: In 2024, I would add a slightly oversized blazer to elevate this look and add a warm extra layer. Try it out!

This super warm shacket is another piece I’ve had since last year. This year, I’ve playing around with fresh ways to wear it, and I love it paired with an elevated sweater and the faux leather leggings.
