This Pre-Tied Headwrap Brand Is The ULTIMATE Style Hack For Busy Moms Who Need To Be Ready In 5
We’ve all been there. You needed to leave the house 10 minutes ago, the kids are ready to go, but you have no idea what to do with your hair! Whatever the issue, pre-tied headwraps are the ultimate style hack for busy moms who want to look stylish and put-together, but don’t have a lot of time to play hairdresser!
Let’s get into where to find beautiful, quality headwraps, and the best ways to style them.
Discover Black Owned Pre-Tied Headwrap Brand, Mudvii (My Review)
I discovered this Atlanta-based, Black owned headwrap company a while back when I was originally looking for something to wear around the house to keep my head warm. I had just cut my hair REALLY short and was still getting used to it, so I figured a headwrap would help with the transition. I tried a few non-tied wraps and even looked at the tutorials online, but just could not figure them out.
Enter Mudvii. Their pre-tied headwraps seemed like a no-stress, stylish way to achieve my goal. When I got my headwraps in the mail, they were so beautiful and sooo soft and comfy, I didn’t want to take them off when I left the house. So, I just started working them into my everyday outfits and that was that!
FYI, this post IS NOT sponsored. I just really love the company and a few of you have DM’d me on Instagram asking about my headwraps, so I wanted to share with ya’ll!
One of the things that really impressed me when I ordered was Mudvii’s stellar customer service. When I originally placed my order, the owner accidentally sent me the wrong one. After I emailed, she made it right almost immediately. She sent out the correct headwrap AND let me keep the first one, which I wasn’t expecting!
The headwraps themselves are absolutely beautiful and well-constructed. They hold up in the wash and the fabric is lightweight and very breathable.

Pre-Tied vs. Non-Tied Headwraps
If you’re trying to decide between pre-tied and non-tied headwraps, I would suggest checking out a few YouTube videos to give you an idea of whether you’ll be able to tie them the way you want to. I will say, with pre-tied headwraps, you’re limited to the one style.
While there’s a bit of a learning curve with non-tied headwraps, the possibilities are endless as far as styling goes. If you have experience with non-tied headwraps already, you may prefer that route. But the pre-tied really does shave a lot of time off your morning routine, because you can just slap it on and go.
Speaking of a quick morning routine, these Black owned beauty products will give you chic, understated minimalist makeup in ten minutes or less!
How To Style Pre-Tied Headwraps
Before I started wearing them, I always pictured headwraps as best suited for the “Mother Earth, goddess vibe” types. You know what I mean? Think, long flowy kimonos, lots of incense, etc. But once I started playing around with mine, I realized they’re pretty much like any other hair accessory. They’re incredibly versatile and super easy to style no matter what your vibe is.
Here’s what works for me:
1. Go for softer colors and/ or muted patterns so they don’t compete too much with your outfit
2. You can also go for solid colors now to work into your every-day wardrobe, and add patterns once you’re more comfortable
3. Take note of the colors you wear most often. Look for headwraps that either match or compliment those colors
4. To make your headwraps look intentional (and not like you’re covering up a bad hair day, even if you are!) pair with your favorite earrings. Even if you don’t feel like getting super dressed up, I found that adding a few simple, yet chic pieces of jewelry definitely elevates the look.
Best Pre-Tied Headwrap Styles
As far as specific styles go, there are quite a few to choose from. Mudvii carries bun, ruffled, knotted, and flower styles. Whichever one you choose really comes down to personal style and preference.
For me, the flower and ruffled wraps, while beautiful, were a a bit too formal for every-day use. And I felt like the knotted wraps were too understated.
I ended up going with the bun style headwraps because they fit best with my existing wardrobe and overall vibe. Still can’t decide? Order a couple styles to try out at home and see which ones you like best!
Outfit Ideas For Your Favorite Headwraps
By the way, you might call them “pre-knotted” headwraps, especially if you’re used to buying the smaller ones for your babies. Same concept!
Anyway, if you’re looking for some outfit inspo, I got you(: These are some of my favorite outfit ideas featuring the headwraps I love and reach for most often.
